Save the date for our next EACD Debate! We are happy to welcome you soon in Brussels for an exciting panel discussion:
A changing political landscape - what's next for Europe?
The European Union has achieved a lot in its short history: from restoring peace and granting freedom to launching a successful single currency and establishing shared values that are respected around the world. Yet, it is faced with a number of challenges from both outside and within. The aftershock of the financial crisis leaves many Europeans feeling insecure, putting their trust in the Union into question and giving rise to renationalisation and populists. Globalisation, technological disruption and mass immigration have added to the dramatically changing environment around us. With just under a year until the European Parliament elections in May 2019, it's time for the European Union institutions to join forces with politicians, civil society, corporate and businesses leaders as well as the media to tell a story that resonates with the 500 million individuals living and working in this continent and to ensure that they make their voice count at the ballots.
The EACD Brussels Debate will feature communicators from politics, public institutions, think tanks, consultancies and major corporations who will share their visions for a road map for Europe, insights into how they promote the European project, and coping strategies and solutions for navigating a changing political landscape.
Meet the speakers:
* Tina Zournatzi, Head of Strategic Communication, European Commission
* Shada Islam, Director of Europe and Geopolitics, Friends of Europe
