In addition, she is Technical (English Language) Editor of EADV News, the quarterly magazine of the European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology (EADV) and an adviser on its communications strategy.
From 1999-2015 Dee worked in Brussels where her roles included: Marketing and Communications Director of Europe’s 500 – a pan-European annual Listing and Awards Ceremony for Europe’s high-growth, job-creating companies across 28 European (EU and EFTA) countries – where she devised all communications and messaging, directed a network of PR agencies across Europe and built up significant media outreach across the continent, including media partnerships with BusinessWeek and national titles, culminating in a gala ceremony at the Hofburg in Vienna; and Enterprises Manager, European Voice (The Economist Group’s EU affairs weekly newspaper – now part of POLITICO), heading up the conference division and launching the highly successful series of healthcare conferences.
Dee began her career in London working for an MP in the Houses of Parliament as a press officer and constituency agent, before joining public affairs consultancy Good Relations. She later went on to become an editor and producer of a wide variety of print and electronic publications for Dod’s Publishing & Research, a specialist parliamentary publisher. Among her other roles there, she was Company Secretary and managed a contract publishing project for the then Department of Trade & Industry’s Exports to Japan Unit.
