Membership Terms & Conditions
The EACD membership is personal, even if invoiced to the employer, and covers one year from the date of purchase*.
We require your personal information to ensure that you fully benefit from the exclusive member benefits and that you always receive relevant information and materials from the EACD.
*Please note that if you renew your membership before or after its annual expiration date, your membership will remain active for the entire year starting on the date you originally joined the EACD.
Membership Fee
The annual membership fee is 350 €(EUR) + VAT if applicable for regular members. A reduced fee of 150 €(EUR) + VAT if applicable applies to young professionals under the age of 30.
Based on Article 45 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC an invoice is eligible for VAT exemption if the billed customer is a legal person residing in the EU. VAT exemption can only be applied if a valid and eligible VAT number is provided. We use the VIES VAT number validation to check all provided VAT numbers.
The rule does not apply to transactions within a member state, in this case, Belgium.
An exception to this rule is non-taxable legal entities, e.g. government agencies or EU institutions. In case your company is eligible for this exemption, please provide us with a document showing the tax-exempt status.
Should the billing address be outside of the EU, VAT does not apply.
We strongly suggest proceeding with the payment of the EACD membership fee by credit card payment. Should you wish to proceed with the payment by Wire Transfer, we kindly ask you to do so within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
Please do note that the fee is non-refundable once a financial transaction has taken place. Should you want to cancel your membership, this does not imply a refund of the paid fee for the same fiscal year the cancellation is requested, but we will note your membership discontinuation for the following year.
If you opted for the auto-renewal of your membership with the EACD and would like to cancel your upcoming membership, you can do so by cancelling the auto-billing option in your profile.
Payment & Renewal Scheme
Automatic renewal: Memberships renew automatically on an annual basis.
- Credit card: Payment is processed automatically on the renewal date using the card details securely stored in your profile. An invoice will be issued for each renewal.
- Bank transfer (wire): An invoice will be issued at the time of renewal and sent to you. Payment should follow within 30 days from receipt of the invoice.
