Cyber security, business and data competencies, ethical challenges related to digital communications and gender issues in the field were key issues explored in the latest European Communication Monitor (ECM), which has been surveying trends in strategic communications for over a decade. Organised by the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) and the EACD, with the support of Cision Insights and Funk & Fuchs, over 2,300 respondents in 44 countries shared their insights.

This year’s edition will be launched in a special EACD webinar to be held on Friday, 29 May at 12.30pm CET. Highlighting key results and discussing the changing communications landscape in the light of the current situation will be Prof Ralph Tench of Leeds Beckett University (UK) with guest commentators from different fields of practice.

We would welcome the participation of an active inhouse communication director from the EACD membership to join them in the panel debate. If you’re interested, please contact Angela Howarth, EACD Board Member, at [email protected].

Each year the key ECM findings and full report are launched at the EACD Annual Summit. Due to the pandemic and as part of the EACD’s digital transformation programme, we will now be sharing the latest research and highlights from the Summit programme in a regular series of online Keynotes, Conferences and Dialogues.
