With 10 months to go before the 2027 presidential election in France, the information war has already begun, and the campaign is being fought on every front.
EACD France brings together experts at the heart of the matter: Benoît Thieulin, back from a mission in Ukraine studying disinformation systems in wartime, and Emmanuel Ostian, Director General of ESJ Paris and author of the book “Disinformation”. They will be joined by a TF1 news executive and a representative from a major social network, whose names will be announced shortly.

Benoît Thieulin is a prominent French digital strategist and entrepreneur, widely recognized for his expertise in the social and political impacts of the internet. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, he served as the Chairman of the French Digital Council (CNUM) from 2013 to 2016, advising the government on digital policy and regulation. He is the founder of the digital agency La Netscouade and has corporate leadership experience as a former partner at BearingPoint. He also teaches at Sciences Po, focusing on the intersection of technology, democracy, and public discourse.

Emmanuel Ostian, Director General @École Supérieure de Journalisme de Paris Former Senior Correspondent @TF1 Author of “Disinformation”
Emmanuel Ostian is an experienced French journalist, media executive, and the current Managing Director (DG) of ESJ Paris, one of the country’s historic journalism schools. He spent over a decade at Canal+ as a senior reporter and editor-in-chief, and later worked at TF1 and France Télévisions, producing high-impact investigative documentaries. An expert on information warfare and media ethics, he authored the book “Désinformation” in 2018. Through his dual roles in production and leading ESJ Paris, he is deeply committed to training the next generation of journalists to navigate geopolitical and algorithmic challenges.
