Event description:

Everybody is familiar with the Eurovision Song Contest, the world’s largest live music show. This year’s edition reached an audience of 166 million viewers across 37 countries, reaffirming its status as one of the world’s most powerful cultural events. But how familiar are you with the organisation — and the people — behind it that make it all happen?

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) brings together 123 public service media organisations across 56 countries and plays a central role in trusted journalism, live news exchange, media innovation and democratic dialogue across Europe and beyond. From coordinating breaking-news coverage and major international sports broadcasts to advancing media freedom, digital verification and public service values, the EBU is far more than the Song Contest.

The EACD Swiss Chapter is absolutely delighted to invite you to an exclusive meeting and discussion with Martin Green, EBU Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, Andreas Aristodemou, EBU Director of the Olympics, Liz Corbin, EBU Director of News, and Michelle Roverelli, EBU Director of Communications, to learn how they manage the organisation across more than 50 countries and manage global media events of the biggest possible scale.

Join us for a unique opportunity for behind-the-scenes insights and a discussion among senior communication professionals.
