Swiss Re, one of the world’s largest re-insurers, is currently reimagining Communications from the ground up. With agentic AI opening the door to increasingly autonomous workflows, Swiss Re sees an opportunity to move beyond automating individual tasks to rethinking how Communications operates across its entire value chain.

In this EACD session, Swiss Re will share its approach to identifying and redesigning workflows, tackling the biggest pain points, and building AI agents that support better business decisions and outcomes. Patrick Naumann, Communications Data and Analytics Lead, and his team will showcase some of the solutions they have developed this year, discuss the challenges they’ve encountered, and share their thoughts on our (agentic) future.

A lot of what Swiss Re is working on touches on questions beyond the realm of technology:

  • What happens to the role of communicators when AI takes over an increasing share of our tasks?
  • How do we build solutions that not only accelerate what we do, but also make us more strategic and valuable to the company?
  • And what are the skills we need in this new world?
