Speakers:

Richard Haigh, Managing Director, Brand Finance
Richard has more than a decade of experience in value-based marketing, brand valuation and intangible asset valuation. He sat on the ISO Technical Committee 289 on Brand Valuation and contributed to the Brand Evaluation standard ISO 20671. He lectures on brand valuation and other topics to business schools and has a regular guest lecture series at the London Business School.
At Brand Finance he oversees internal initiatives and studies, and leads a portfolio of client relationships. With experience from B2B and B2C industries and brands, Richard has worked across all of Brand Finance’s service lines as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing but particularly specialises in valuation. He has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford.

 

Jamie Hyman, Managing Director, Brand Dialogue
Jamie leads strategic communications advisory group Brand Dialogue and oversees the global Brand Finance communications team, which produces content based on Brand Finance research, whilst developing and executing communications strategies to amplify the impact of those insights.
A former journalist for magazines, radio, and newspapers, Jamie has nearly a decade of experience in communications. She has advised global technology and finance companies, supported the launch of startups and VCs, and specialises in sustainability, emerging markets, and capital markets. Jamie has a BS in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

 

Charity Joy, GM, Criterion – Electronic Arts
As creative leader of Club Penguin, the world’s largest virtual world for kids, Charity Joy helped propel the game from start-up to over 300 million global users. Following Club Penguin’s acquisition by Disney, Charity worked with Disney to develop immersive digital and in-person experiences for over a decade.
Since then, Charity has been instrumental in starting successful technology, healthcare, and even micro-brewing businesses. She’s worked alongside the world’s most innovative teams including Pixar, Lucasfilm, Disney Imagineering, Marvel, Lenovo, and the UFC. She currently leads Electronic Art’s UK-based Criterion Studio as GM, with teams working on Need for Speed and Battlefield.
Charity has an educational background in Theatre, Sport Management, and an Executive MBA. In her spare time, she is an amateur poet, song writer, author, and stand-up comic.

Andrew Hillier,  EACD United Kingdom Country Chapter Lead
Andrew is Managing Director at Ballinger Equine and Director of Communications at Ah! He has held Director of Communications and Chief Communications Officer posts at the UK Veterinary Management Group, South-East England Development Agency, Thorngate Churcher Trust, and UK regional and city government bodies. With a background as a communications specialist in the fossil fuel and nuclear energy sectors, Andrew later served as communications adviser to the UK Forensic Science Service and London’s Metropolitan Police. He is experienced leading strategic communications in crisis and reputation-critical scenarios. A member of the Chartered Institute of Journalists, and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, he is a former CIPR Greater London Chairman and National Council Member.
