In this lunchtime session, insights about the rebranding from Federation of European Accountants to Accountancy Europe will be shared. This will begin with the motivation for change, include the process of how the rebrand was achieved and the results of the process.

As the Federation of European Accountants, there was a disconnect between what it did for its members and what the association’s look and feel suggested. In 2016, it became Accountancy Europe. This meant a shift to be transparent, broader, more outward-looking and to represent people. Changing identity means more than just a change of logo; previously, the association had been accountants talking to other accountants. Now, it speaks with everyone. A source of advice for politicians, a sort of think-tank with events and publications, an advocate for members, the voice of the accountancy profession, and – most importantly – working in the public interest for the benefit of society as a whole.
