Is it “game over” for companies’ reputation in heavily regulated sectors? Or is it still possible to overcome scrutiny and crises to build favorable perceptions among key stakeholders? In this event we will discuss key findings from a recent global reputation study of the financial services sector, conducted by Caliber and the EACD, and draw conclusions on how companies can build trust and reputation despite operating in sectors that “people love to hate”.

Meet your panelists

Morgan Bone, Global Head of External Communications, HSBC
Morgan is responsible for global media relations strategy and governance; speechwriting/CEO external communications; and corporate publications. He joined HSBC from Hammerson plc where he was Director of Corporate Communications. Prior to Hammerson, he spent 12 years in communications agencies and started his career as an auditor at PwC in London.

David Crow, Banking Editor, Financial Times
David Crow is the FT’s Banking Editor, formerly a Senior US Business Correspondent covering the pharma industry for the paper in New York. He previously worked on the FT’s main news desk in London.

Tom Burns, Partner, Brunswick
Tom Burns has extensive experience of financial and corporate communications and is co-lead of the firm’s global Financial Institutions Group. He has advised a range of international companies on their communications in high profile and sensitive situations, including takeovers, capital raisings, IPOs, crises and litigation.
