Adrian Britten

Adrian leads brand and communications for MS Amlin...

Position:
Global Director of Brand & Communications
Organisation:
MS Amlin
Adrian Britten

Adrian leads brand and communications for MS Amlin, the international arm of the world’s 8th largest non-life insurer.   His international career spans corporate communications and marketing in a variety of sectors including consumer electronics (Nokia), FMCG (Unilever), retail (The Co-operative Group), Agribusiness (Dalgety), Biotech (PIC International) and Government. During his consultancy career he advised a number of global companies, governments and UN bodies on brand development, reputation management, employee engagement and leadership development.  With a Bachelor’s degree and PhD in Psychology, Adrian was awarded the ‘gold standard’ of UK psychological qualification in 1989 when he became a registered Chartered Psychologist.  Not surprisingly his work has always been evidence-based. In the intangible world of communications and engagement, he uses reliable outcome measures of both external brand and internal employee response.  An early pioneer, over the last 25 years he has developed three separate, robust measurement systems for Employee Engagement, each capturing the social science understanding of their day and being adopted across sectors and geographies.  He has shared his expertise widely in international forums and published a guide to engaging people in tough times.  The alumni for his licensed global programmes in leadership communication and emotional intelligence now number several thousand.  In 2016 he was elected as one of the few non-US members of the Page Society.
