Lubna Haj Issa

Lubna Haj Issa has over 25 years of experience in communications and has a background in both journalism and publishing. Since 2006, she has been working for the leading global travel retailer worldwide, the DUFRY Group headquartered in Basel, Switzerland – over a decade (2006 – 2016) in the position Head of Corporate Communications. Before that Lubna has worked for various PR agencies and the Perfumery Douglas, where she handled marketing and web-content management. As Public Relations Officer at the University Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen she was responsible for PR and technology transfer. Her major subjects at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, were journalism, communications and mass media and as minor subjects oriental studies and international politics. In 1990 she received her Master’s degree. She also has a journalistic training for broadcasting and was journalist for Voice of Germany, Antenne Unna, Etablissement Radiodiffussion Télévision Tunisienne (ERTT), and Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR).
