Médard leads the Corporate Division Communications and Public Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim, a research-based leader in human pharma and animal health, active in 70 markets. From the company’s headquarters in Ingelheim am Rhein in Germany, he is responsible for communications, the corporate brand and public affairs. Prioir to joining Boehringer Ingelheim at the start of 2020, Médard spent 25 years in banking and life sciences. He was Head of Communications at HSBC, based in London, and worked in executive leadership roles at Credit Suisse and Syngenta, both in Switzerland, and Royal DSM in the Netherlands. He started his career in banking with ABN Amro Bank in Amsterdam and London, before he switched to the world of communications in 2001, when he joined Hill & Knowlton in Amsterdam. Since 2018, Médard is a member of the Board of the European Association of Communication Directors, based in Brussels. He holds an MBA and a Masters degree in business economics from Nyenrode University.
