The EACD was delighted to host a Regional Debate in collaboration with the Bulgarian Association for People Management titled HR and IC Crossover.

Internal communication departments are working more closely than ever with HR. Together, the two departments can work to pursue mutual goals such as transforming corporate culture, communicating business initiatives, and improving employee engagement and motivation.

Professional communicators and HR personnel came together in Sofia on 28 April to discuss the challenges and developments facing their professions.

Regional Lead Vanya Babanin moderated the expert-led discussion and was able to summarize the outcome of the meeting:

“We had an honest discussion and many involved participants. We have to work together, we must educate all managers that communication is part of their job, we have to be able to define the needs of our employees and management and address them with proper communication. Integrated messaging is very important to all audiences and only timing and format varies.”
