Utta Tuttlies

Utta Tuttlies joined the S&D Group in 2010 as Head of Press and Communications/Spokesperson for the Group. In this role, she is responsible for the management of the press and communications team and acts as spokesperson for the Group. With 194 members from 28 countries, the S&D Group is the second largest political group in the European Parliament. The S&D press and communications unit is an interdisciplinary, multinational and multilingual team which covers different activities ranging from media relations, to audio-visual production, events & publications as well as online and new media communication. Over the last two years the Group has launched several new initiatives, among which the "Relaunching Europe" initiative which was awarded for its interactive engagement and communication with citizens all over Europe. Previously, Utta was head of communications and public affairs for the Association of Commercial Television in Brussels. Before that, she worked as political consultant in Brussels, as media relations advisor in Germany, and for the financial communications consultancy Hering Schuppener in Frankfurt.
